Kukup Beach, Yogyakarta

Kukup Beach is located in Kemadang, Tanjungsari District, about 1 km east of Baron beach, about 3 km from Sundak Beach, or around 1.5 hours drive from Yogyakarta with motorcycle. The road to the beach is rather meandering and full of climbs. So please be careful when using the vehicle to come here.

Kukup is a white sandy beach with a path that cut through hills that connect it to the beach Baron. On this beach there is a coral island is also connected by bridges senggol. From the top of this island we can see a fairly broad view of the coast and very beautiful with large waves. Although during the day, if we are on this coral island, the weather will remain cool because the wind was blowing quite hard.

Coral Island
Once satisfied to enjoy the beauty of the coast of the island, we could go down to enjoy the beautiful white sand on this beach. In the afternoon the sea water began to recede, so we can be free to just take a walk on the beach, or playing with white sand here.

That is no less exciting, lots of sea creatures that live in this coastal environment. Starting from a colorful fish, crabs are often paced by the beach, or a jellyfish that can make body itch if we hold it. If want to catch fish or crabs with ease, we can buy small nets traded by traders on the beach. And if we want to bring home the ornamental fish without bothering to catch it yourself, we can buy it on the way out the beach. there are many merchants who traded with a variety of ornamental marine fish species, such as clown fish, starfish, sea snakes, and many others.
