Loksado at Meratus Mountain

Loksado is the name of a village in the Kandangan, South Kalimantan, about 2.5 hours from Banjarmasin. The village is crossed by a river named Amandit. Amandit River is sourced from the mountains Meratus, has a fairly heavy flow with the stream filled with rocks so it was suitable for rafting, and the raft used here traditionally made from bamboo. Appropriate season to play the raft is about April to June when the water debit is not too shallow and not too deep.


In addition to rafting, Travelers also have the opportunity to visit the village Malaris, a Dayak Meratus Tribe village that still very natural and there are relics of the house "Betang", which is a long house-shaped letter "L" and is inhabited by dozens of families.

To get to Loksado, from the airport we can ride public transportation to Hulu Sungai Selatan, then switch to another public transportation to get to Loksado.
